If you missed CBS's coverage of MAMAPALOOZA on Mother's Day you can read Bill Geist's description for CBS News Sunday Morning. It has one picture so you'll have to use your imagination for the visuals. When doing so, please do the opposite of TV and make us look 10 pounds lighter and 10 years younger. Thank you Bill and Amy Rosner for the excellent coverage.

We raised $1000 for the YWCA's Interim House at MAMAPALOOZA! Thank you for your generous donations.

Mama Mia! It's The Ruiners' Liz Scaris (who played ripping guitar with us at Mamapalooza) and Whoopi Goldberg, who dropped in the show at the Cutting Room! more pics...

The Mydols and “Mom Bands” from all across the U.S. (and even the U.K.!) have united to create a compilation cd to benefit Unicef. Powerful, catchy, pop, punk, alt rock, slow grooves and more, the songs cover topics relevant to moms and the people who love them. They're not just for breakfast anymore... MOMS ROCK!!!! More Info

The Mydols traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah to be on air with Frankie C and the Z-Morning Zoo (KZHT) on February 16. While we were in the studio Alicia Keys (Wow!) and Deborah Gibson called in. Frankie was just voted 'Smoothest DJ' and a boat load of other cool stuff in the 'Year end 'best' list for Salt Lake radio'.

Oscar winner Luis Resto.....in the studio recording Merry Freakin' Christmas

250 Santas, 8 bars, 3 buses...1 night of fun. Christmas doesn't get any jollier than this. Click here to see a North Pole Mosh Pit.

The Z-Morning Zoo has been playing our Merry Freakin' Christmas Re-Mix in the mornings in Salt Lake, UT. Frankie C, the host of this killer morning show, says:

"Merry Freakin' Christmas... it's Go-Gos meets Courtney Love... unfortunately it captures the TRUE Christmas spirit!! We love it!!"

AND the adorable (!) Kelly Brown has been playin' it too on the 89X Homeboy Show here in Detroit..

AND thanks Mojo, Spike and Sara from the MOJO IN THE MORNING SHOW. We had a great time meeting ya'll in the studio.

MIXIN' IT UP...We got to spend a couple of hours with Joel Martin and Luis Resto at 54 Sound in fashionable Ferndale re-mixing our single 'Merry Freakin' Christmas'. They gave our X-mas ditty a little more bite and a little more spark while maintaining that dirty punk/surf sound. These guys are geniuses. Luis has worked with Eminem, The Rolling Stones, Sinatra, Iggy, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bonnie Raitt and now The Mydols!

We did a two day photo shoot for PEOPLE MAGAZINE with Dennis Kleiman. Dennis has photographed The White Stripes, Kid Rock, No Doubt, Radiohead, Outkast and more. He was amazing to work with...extremely patient. All ten of our kids were in the shoot as well as hoola hoops, pogo sticks, skate boards... The photo they ultimately used was shot in a laundromat about 40 minutes away from home and at almost 11 PM. We fed the kids french fries just to keep them awake. But just look at those cute little faces. They stole the show!
The Mydols appeared on the TODAY SHOW on August 6 and the CBS EARLY SHOW on August 24.The footage used in the CBS story was shot in Cleveland at Little Steven's Battle of the Bands.
The Mydols performed at the First Annual Royal Oak Music Festival on September 30 and debuted two brand spankin' new songs: "Sweet Potato Queen" and "Run Crazy Baby". Thanks go out to Bob and Liz Morton and the great staff at Lily's Seafood (410 S. Washington, Royal Oak) for having us. We love you!

ROCK 'N' ROLL MOMS (from In the News with Craig Kilborn...check this out. The Late Late Show used video of us and other mom bands. It's very funny. Video (RealPlayer required)

In “rock Mom-inoff” news… There’s a new type of garage band in the suburbs, as “Rock ’n’ Roll Moms” crank up the amps and kick out the jams to tunes like “Eat Your Damn Spaghetti”… Oh, they’re total MILFs, “Mothers I’d like to forget”! The moms play so loud, they can’t hear their kids dialing the suicide hotline. So far the number one request for the band is still to have the house clean and dinner warm.

The Roc ’n’ Roll Moms even have a new record out:
