Mamapalooza comes to the D. Sunday, May 1 Thanks to everyone for coming to the first MAMAPALOOZA here in Detroit. (Even the Royal Oak police, who had to lock the door because there were too many people in the club!) A special thanks goes out to MEMPHIS SMOKE, JOY ROSE, JILL JACK, THE CANDY BAND and THE MYDOLS. | ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS was donated to the YWCA's Interim House, a safe place for women survivors of domestic violence/sexual assault and their children. Members of THE CANDY BAND and THE MYDOLS delivered the proceeds and some pizza. (Thank You LITTLE CAESARS for picking up the tab. They were delicious!) They enjoyed a fun meal with the house's residents. There are so many kids staying there...really, really beautiful children. One of The Mydols brought her daughter with her and she didn't want to leave some of the little girls who are residents. Please look into this wonderful organization and the work they do. |
