What a challenge!. "The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a bold state of mind that unfolds before you like a 60-mile-long pink carpet of hope."  What a great sentence that came straight from the 3 Day Site!

I have to say, after taking the plunge and doing the 3 Day in Michigan this year, it was a life changing experience and one I will never forget.  For me, Chef Mama Shelleen, it has been a goal of mine for a while but I never took the step...and this time I just did it! My good friend Julie, and my mom, an eight year survivor who is battling every day of her life.  Julie and I took turns actually pushing my mom in a wheel chair for the walk.  What an inspiration for others to see my mom!  Then it was as if God sent us an angel, out of no where Norm showed up behind us and asked if he could take a turn on the third day of the walk.  He proceeded to take over for the entire third day of the walk!  Norm connected us to a group of six other members of his team.  You truely meet some igredible people and friends for a life time.

We, Julie and I, have already signed up for the 2008 walk.  Not sure if we are doing the walk again or going to crew....but we are leaning towards the walk.  My mom says she is doing it too but she wants my dad to come with us.  Sure to be another fabulous event!  Can't wait to see my dad in PINK!  If you ever thought about doing this event...jump in and sign up!  You could even join Chef Mama!  Let us know if you are interested!
